In the realm of NFL trade discussions, the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs are gearing up for a potential battle over trade candidate AJ Dillon. The buzz surrounding this possibility has been circulating at the NFL Training Camp, with speculation running wild about the Green Bay Packers’ intentions with the 26-year-old running back.

Reports have indicated that the Packers recently re-signed Dillon after he was the subject of free-agent talks. However, with the team’s depth at the running back position seemingly secure, there is a growing sense that Dillon could be placed on the trade block. Despite amassing impressive numbers with 2,428 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns in 60 games over the past four seasons, Dillon has yet to fully embrace a starting role.

Dillon currently finds himself in a heated competition within the Packers’ locker room, vying for playing time alongside the likes of Josh Jacobs and MarShawn Lloyd. While he may not hold the coveted starting role, he has been a reliable No. 2 option for the team. Should Lloyd showcase early potential as a more capable backup to Jacobs, Dillon could find himself on the trade block to attract potential suitors.

Even with the presence of talented running backs like Emanuel Wilson and Jarveon Howard in the mix, the Packers may opt to explore trade options for Dillon. With the team’s manageable financial commitment to him on a one-year contract, Dillon’s trade value remains high as a potential solution for teams seeking a quick fix in their running game.

One such team in need of running back depth is the Kansas City Chiefs, who are looking to bolster their backfield behind Isiah Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire. The Ravens, featuring workhorse Derrick Henry, are also eyeing Dillon as a possible addition to their running back rotation.

Other potential landing spots for Dillon include the New Orleans Saints, who could benefit from his services on a one million, one-year contract alongside Jamaal Williams. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Chargers, known for their injury history, may seek veteran reinforcement in light of their running back duo of J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards.

The Carolina Panthers, boasting a stacked running back position with the likes of Miles Sanders and Chuba Hubbard, are also considering the addition of Dillon to add depth and versatility to their offensive arsenal. As the trade talks heat up and teams jockey for position in the running back market, Dillon’s future remains uncertain but full of potential for a fresh start with a new team.
