In a groundbreaking move, Supplier EveryMatrix has launched the ‘Academy for Heroes’ project, dedicated to supporting veterans of the Ukraine war in transitioning into careers in IT and technology. The initiative, based in the city of Lviv where EveryMatrix has a significant presence, aims to provide a pathway for war veterans to reintegrate into society after facing the physical and psychological challenges of war.
The project, spearheaded by established IT professionals, offers a specialized course designed to equip participants with the necessary skills for successful careers in technology. EveryMatrix has collaborated with local IT companies to ensure that veterans who complete the program have opportunities for employment in the tech industry.
EveryMatrix Group CEO & Co-Founder Ebbe Groes expressed his commitment to supporting veterans, stating, “Our Lviv office is central to our continued success and growth. Ever since the country has experienced conflict we have supported our friends and colleagues, as well as charities, with much needed funds committing more than €2m ($2.2m) to date, and we will continue to help them.”
He further added, “Now, we’re taking that one step further by setting up our second company NGO to ensure veterans receive the training and skills they need to return to work and develop successful careers in technology. The IT industry is one of the strongest parts of the Ukrainian economy, renowned worldwide for technical skills. I hope many will either join us or go on to join other IT companies, giving them hope and a more certain future for themselves and their families.”
The ‘Academy for Heroes’ project comes at a time when EveryMatrix has been expanding its operations in North America, sealing partnerships with DraftKings in Ontario and Internet Vikings in West Virginia in August. This latest development now shifts the focus towards its headquarters in Bucharest, Romania, a neighboring country of Ukraine.
The project not only aims to provide veterans with valuable skills for a successful career transition but also highlights the company’s dedication to supporting those who have sacrificed so much for their country. It serves as a testament to the power of technology in creating opportunities for individuals to build a better future for themselves and their families.
