After just two months of negotiations, Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has successfully completed its acquisition of Titan, a leading supplier of SEO and content services in the gaming industry. The deal, announced in mid-June, signifies a strategic move by GiG to enhance its operational capabilities and strengthen its position in the market.
According to the initial announcement, GiG will pay a total of €3.2m ($3.4m) for Titan, with payments scheduled as €1m after the closing, another €1m after 12 months, and the final €1.2m after two years. This acquisition will not only support Gentoo Media, formerly known as GiG Media, in its content and affiliate business, but will also lead to significant cost-saving measures.
By consolidating divisions under Titan, GiG expects to reduce SEO and content costs by up to 50%. Jonas Warrer, the CEO of Gentoo Media and Acting Group CEO of GiG, expressed his excitement about the acquisition, stating, “I’m pleased to announce that we have completed the acquisition of Titan. This aligns with our strategic goals to enhance operational efficiencies and improve our service capabilities.”
Warrer added, “Integrating Titan’s SEO and content expertise will benefit our operations and stakeholders, and we look forward to realizing the advantages this acquisition brings.” In the previous year, Titan reported a revenue of €3.3m with an EBITDA of €0.72m, making the acquisition cost slightly lower than the company’s total revenue.
The completion of this deal marks a significant milestone for GiG and Titan, paving the way for enhanced services and operational efficiencies. As the gaming industry continues to evolve, partnerships and acquisitions like this one will play a crucial role in shaping the future landscape of the sector.
